By that logic FCV also owns two hockey rinks and a Olympic sized swimming pool too. When was the last time you just walked in and used either for free because your kid is on FCV.
And by the way, it is no longer FCV, it is TSJFCV. Never forget that at anytime the gym could decide that they are no longer interested in youth soccer. Your soccer club is little more than a line item on the budget and will only remain there as long as it returns a reasonable profit.
Owning a pro womens soccer team that doesn’t make money will need to subsidized by someone. Enjoy paying for your mandatory “discounted” season tickets next year.

But Hanson Park will be under PRCS control. Surely FCV wouldn't want to "roll the dice" with field assignments from PRCS? It's one thing to stick your second, non-GA teams at Bles but can you imagine them being told that the GA teams would have to practice there (or Bolen), too?!?

Yeah, Segra would make sense. I have to think that they'd lose some players if they moved to Springfield full-time.

Nowhere was it said they will dump their youth soccer program. What was said is that the youth soccer program will subsidize the pro team. If the sale goes through, part of your Club team fees will be discounted season tickets. That would be a required 300 new season ticket holders, and of course parents will buy some as well. that is somewhere around 900 newly created season ticket holders.
BRILLIANT! Schedule the youth practices and games to allow all families to attend the Spirit home games! Give them all a $2 off coupon for concessions so they spend well on those $15 beers!
They already did this with the Spirit DA teams.
And look how well that turned out. Spirit DA was the worst league in the area. It went under, the kids moved to BRYC and FCV. There is no way FCV can subsidize the pro team. They barely have enough members now. Unless they completely move to Springfield, (where no one knows the coaches/directors) they will not survive.
