Another Deutschle Welle article talks about the ongoing surge in children.

Children are not the main source of cases.
They don’t have to be the “main source”…
That was the argument of the PP- which may or may not be you, that children are the main source of the case surge in Europe. That isn't true. Sorry if you don't like data versus news stories with agendas.
I am the poster who posted several articles citing that: 1) Europe is having large surges and 2) in both UK and Germany they are refocusing on the rate of child infections and acknowledging the need or potential need to vaccinate children. Nowhere did I state the children are the “main source” of a surge anywhere.
The point is that it is silly to say, “oh across the pond they did not vaccinate kids so why should we”, as they are clearly still evaluating the need given the large winter surges they are currently experiencing.
The data are that cases in children are rising as part of the overall surge. The articles describe that children are a part of the surges that are affecting a wider population.
Europe is not talking about vaccinating children on any real level, they also laugh at the US and shake their heads in disbelief for forcing masks on two year olds.
+1000
Asia and Australia are in disbelief at Pfizer/FDA/CDC “approval yet non-approval” $$$$ boondoggle too.

Anonymous wrote:Virtue signaling? What are you talking about? Being in a vaxxed school is not segregated. In my system, even public school require any manner of vaccinations and that is the way the taxpayers want it so we can minimize measles and polio and mumps, etc. Etc. Etc. Eventually, if we want it, covid goes on this list too.
Some people that will not vax their kids choose to homeschool. Does that mean out schools are segregated? No.

The more parents are educated the more they know, the more they dig in. I am guessing that those who are happy with mandate will cluster in specific schools and said parents will avoid them. There will be schools that don’t mandate and will leave it up to parents, and they will attract a more diverse group of parents.
So why not leave it be and let some school target families that want a mandate and let others target families that want no mandate. Let the market sort this out.

Outside the WDC bubble the child vaccination rate will be well under 50%. Maybe inside too. Highly educated people have a lower than average vaccination rate.
