Blue player’s coach.

So the blue player was in the right. I don't get it, seems like the mom of the girl in white does not understand 1) the blue girl was right 2) contact in soccer is normal, you are allowed to use your body if you can play the ball 3) if you don't get to the ball first you can't just run into somebody.

So the girl in white's mom seems insane, the blue coach is probably an a$$ but who knows.

The coach did in fact tell the player to hit her hard. I am friends with a PDA family and spoke with them about the incident. It was a mutual collision that happened and the PDA player left the game after. The coach did in fact encourage violence. It is a fact. The family I know is completely trustworthy. The MFA coach also has a long history. I personally witnessed him insulting a 15 or 16 year old young lady AR judge at SuperCopa. Our team also witnessed one of his players spearing our goalie at USYS regionals.

I should note that we actually know a couple of the parents and while they are good and respectful parents, the same cannot be said of others. Those parents are probably more at fault than the coach himself.

Regardless a coach should never tell another player to hit another player harder. Of this was our coach, he would have been removed after.

Look, nothing wrong with telling a child to play hard. Its two completely different things. Same goes for verbal abuse.

I also don’t agree with this Coach Meredith person. She has made it personal and put herself in a bad light as well. Definitely comes across as someone with just as big of an ego.

Lastly, I don’t think this coach should be fired. Punished somehow, yes. Probation, certainly. If I was charge, I would probably suspend him for month and if there were any mor controversy, let him go permanently. I think this coach has lost his way and is more worried about the win and how he gets there.

There is a lot if things people at DCUM do not know about the environment between these two clubs. Loudoun/FCV is probably similar.

Coaches don’t get fired for misbehavior, they move clubs and get permotions.

Villareal boys coach does stuff like this all the time. Saw him cheer a hit when a kid was clearly on the field hurt. And complained to the ref for calling a foul. Disgusting.

You tackle the ball not the player.

Previous poster is correct strikers make that hard play to intimidate for this play or the next. As a coach’s,!I prefer players are taught the fundamentals and master them before the dark arts are taught.

As a ref in real time I assume that that is a tough call to see and make. With VAR that is a reckless tackle by white jersey of the defender and the white jersey should have been issued a red. Perhaps leaving the field bleeding influenced the red not to call it as well.

Agree but telling a 12 year old girl to hit another 12 year old girl hard is on a completely different level.

I have no idea if the coach was in the wrong - he may very well be. But still, my son is the same age, and if someone posted his image in a facebook video without my permission, I would be very unhappy and ask facebook to take it down, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the soccer issue.

Just so everyone here knows, on the NJ forum, they have a poster who claims to be multiple people, posting disinformation to defend the coaches actions.

Although Coach Meredith does have an axe to grind and I do not respect her, I cannot dismiss the facts of the audio and personal relationships I have with parents at PDA, and previous knowledge of the MFA coach.

Believe what you want, but we all know history repeats itself.

Nothing more from me.

OMG it's true, OP/video poster is literally a disgruntled former employee of the club who has gone full tilt, and using little girls to forward her vendetta against the club and it's coaches, and heavily doctored a video for her purpose. Just when you think you've seen crazy. Stay classy NJ.

The "offending coach" is clearly just trying to teach his player who got steamrolled by the attacking player how to defend herself in those situations to avoid injury. Whether you like how he said it or not, the message and intent are pretty clear.
