Thank you for what you do. I work in a school (as a specialist, not a classroom teacher) and I grew up in a diverse area with diverse friends, so I thought I knew what I needed to to deal with my students' wide variety of backgrounds. Of course I was wrong, and I would catch myself not knowing how to respond, or responding from my own perspective. I find these trainigs valuable when choosing materials, and taking to families, and working with coworkers, and knowing how and when to speak up.
