There are a few houses along the borders of Arlington and McLean/Falls Church that fall along the dividing line between the two school districts. We have friends who lived in one of those houses and had the choice whether to send their kids to APS or FPS.

There's also the possibility that it's a child who has moved households to live with one parent but requested an exception to stay at their APS school where the other parent resides.

Not a ton of explanations but there are a few.

Teacher or staff?

No it was in the student table. When I clicked on it, it changes all the other graphs so you can see their demographics. Looks like it was at Williamsburg middle school.

Individuals are identified in some cases without others around them meeting the definition of close contacts due to masking and other mitigation strategies.

We had more than the 5 close contacts at our school alone that i am personally aware of. I don't trust any of these numbers anymore

Looks like drew had 5 positive cases though, so if they each had 5 close contacts, one could assume it was a whole homeroom when it wasnt.
