I agree.
I have owned two Kias.
Both were junk.
Moneypits.

We've had a Kia Soul for 12 years that has been terrific - such a good, reliable, easy car that when it is time to replace it, we will almost certainly get another Kia.

My brother has a Sorento - he really likes it. We don't need that much room so we're leaning either toward another Soul, when the time comes, or a hybrid Sportage.

Can’t speak to the Sorrento, but my 2022 Telluride is an absolute dream to drive I love it. People ask me about it all the time. So much room.

Kias are notorious for oil consumption, as well as Hyundais. Not sure if the newer ones are better, but there is a class action suit filed against both hyundai and Kia. I am Korean. My uncle worked for Kia’s engineering dept until a few years ago and told me not to buy one. I don’t know enough about them to say yay or nay, but I would make sure to take reviews that only consider the first 36 months of ownership with a grain of salt. Most cars are great in the first 36 months.

I found this to be true when considering purchasing a KIA recently, I called 10 different companies, 2 I had prior policies with. I ultimately passed. I would check to see what your insurers says before purchase, OP.

We recently bought a Kia and did not run into any trouble with insurance (got several quotes, no one said they wouldn't insure). The theft problem is limited to certain cars and I believe older models.

Only the Kia sportage, rio and forte are among the “most stolen.” I have the telluride. I won’t lie — I had to get over my own snobbery when buying a Kia, but I love my car. I kind of wish I had looked at the sorrento bc I overpaid for the telluride.

lots of room in the back. my sis is a music teacher and regularly carts kids & tubas & stands and there's always room for more stuff.
