She's not going to get hired for anything substantial - better to go audition for soap opera/Young & The Restless spots over being broke & contemplating Only Fans.

She made a video detailing and admitting that she blew her Disney money.

I just saw the video. She said she was burnt out, tired and would get to auditions late and self sabotaged. She also blew her Disney money and is now not even a millionaire and has children to support. I am appreciative of her candor.

Actors might love the idea of being in movies, but TV is where the work is. Especially with all the new content being created for streaming. Using Aniston or Clooney as examples --well, they're the exceptions. And smart actors move from a TV role to another one as different as possible, or they do other guest role work while still appearing on long-running series, so they aren't as typecast and so they can flex their muscles as actors in different ways. There are lots of actors like that out there on TV.

DP. Ask Hallmark and Netflix. I'm betting she doesn't have an agent, or if she does, she's not a high priority among that agent's clients. She might have pursued roles like those but never have been cast and you wouldn't hear about it.

Also, to be blunt:

(1) Both TV and film have plenty of pretty young women already working in them and vast numbers more clamoring to get in.

Unless she had a fantastic, aggressive agent, tons of drive, and she actively sought out roles that differentiated her from her younger roles and from the rest of the pack of women her age--she wasn't going to have a bigger career.

(2) If she also had substance abuse issues in any form, it was just that much easier for producers and directors not to cast her, especially if it meant she showed up late, was unprepared, turned down job offers, etc. Not saying she did those things herself -- just saying that generally, time truly is money on TV and film shoots, and short of being a true star, a remarkable actor, or both, the producers don't have time to deal with anyone who's late/unprepared/unreliable due to substance abuse or just plain unprofessionalism. Yes, some stars and/or great actors get away with that to a point, but anyone below that level really can't.

Lots of child stars never manage adult careers. It's a notoriously difficult transition for a reason.

As for Austin -- ooh, bad move. Yeah, they'll have to move back to CA. Especially for soaps, which yes pay well, but are extremely demanding on time and schedules.
