The Dawn Wall. Great documentary about two rock climbers trying to climb the Dawn Wall at Yosemite. Amazing examples of team work and diligence.
I liked it much better than Free Solo (also good).

Hands on a Hard Body is iconic. About a yearly competition that pits twenty-four contestants against each other to see who can keep their hand on a pickup truck for the longest amount of time.
Fast, Cheap and Out of Control - about a robotics inventor, topiary artist, lion tamer, and a naked mole rat expert. Somehow it works.
I loved the video version of This American Life (love the radio version too... there are lots that would be great for young listeners)

We’ve enjoyed Dancing With the Birds and the Abstract series of art documentaries (the ones we’ve seen that particularly stand out were the photographer, line illustrator, type designer, and Scandinavian architecture/art installation guy). Both on Netflix.
I also really enjoyed a series of BBC documentaries on Africa, “Africa with Ade Adepitan”, but that ones harder to track down. Looks like Amazon Prime has it with a “99 cent for a month” trial subscription to BBC Now.
And my husband has watched all the Planet Earth documentaries on Netflix (the ones with David Attenborough) about five times each. They’re all gorgeous and amazing.

NP here, thanks for the rec. Looks fantastic and I’m sure my tweens will love it. Plan to watch it with them tonight.
My sister told me I had to watch the documentary about fungi on Netflix. The small bit that I’ve seen so far is really interesting.
