Some names should be retired from use. Bertha, Susan, Matha, Gertrude, Edith, Barbara, Sharon and Paula are all on that list.

I love the name Sharon! It’s my deceased mother’s name.


I hate when people try to use that (deceased loved one) as a reason to love a name.. My beloved grandmother's name was Helen. I hate that name despite loving the person who had the name.

It doesn’t sound special, but it will be easy to spell, easy to pronounce. I’d go with a more feminine middle name to give her options.
