I find it odd that no one has asked, and you may not know, if they had sex, date 1, 2, or both. If they did and he was underwhelmed or he believed he didn't meet her level then he might be gone for that reason.

All dynamics are important, some more than others, but in a couple dates you can get an instinct as to whether you want to continue.

My active duty now-DH deployed a few weeks after our first date but still managed to find a way to call and email and we were engaged 4 months after he got home. I say this to say, I would advise her to move on because if he was really into her, he would find a spare minute to at least send a text.

Talking for months and that happened? Sucks but at the same time sounds like a blessing to me. Imagine continuing down the road what might have happened after you have invested more into the relationship.

I met an FBI guy online and then twice in person and he disappeared on me because he had to fly out to work on the George Floyd case last May.
We never slept together but I was still hurt that he just ghosted after we had been talking daily for months.

He works at Best Buy and learned a long time ago that know one buys "I work for the CIA" but "I'm a defense contractor" works as an easy lay for any non-liberal woman.

+1 and yes contractors play critical roles throughout government. If that's his job, he's likely working around the clock right now.
