I think this is part of it. I have never eaten outdoors in August in the past but we are not ready to eat indoors so it is stay home or eat outside. Every time we go out, I wish we had done takeout instead.

My favorite are the May and September days (too few of them) where the temps are in the mid 70s and the dewpoint is around 50 or below. Gorgeous! I swear we only have like 5 days all year where it's in the 70s and sunny. It's either 85+ or 60 and colder.

They’ll be here for a few weeks in November and then it’ll get cold! Autumn and Spring tend to be the shortest seasons around these parts.

Disagree. Autumn and spring are so much longer here than elsewhere. I grew up in Michigan.

It just feels hotter because we are all trying to do everything outside. This time of year we would be going to museums, shopping malls, movie theaters, indoor adventure parks, etc and not really think about the heat.
