second asking to move. Maybe ask to practice or guest with the lower team to assess fit - but he will probably prefer playing on the lower team than sitting on the bench on the upper team if he isn't the right fit for the team. ok not all kids would chose bench on upper team vs starter on the lower team - but many kids who play soccer actually just want to play and have fun and will pick playing time over level of team.
