Usually the name is the clue. Someone needs to look up the history of the area and figure out why it was named that.

I mean, it’s Occam’s Razor. Toxicology reports will shown the husband poisoned the wife with something in the water, then the baby, dog, and himself.

There are easier ways to poison a family than to go on a hike and hope the spot of water you pick is toxic.

Besides which - poison is mostly a woman's choice of murder/suicide.

I mean, put something in the water they were drinking. Toxic algae is far-fetched. A hike in 100 degree heat when you filled the water bottles is way to ensure it.

Maybe but the water canteens were on the body. Testing wouldn't have taken long to rule out contaminated water?
