OP. Movies/pop culture has conditioned us to believe that teen girls all should care about clothes. But I think girls like yours and mine who honestly just don’t care is not out of the norm. My DD is the absolute same. Put on your big girl panties for a couple of shopping trips and then do a bunch of online ordering. If she doesn’t care, but her stuff from kohl’s and old navy. She’ll be fine. My beautiful, fashion agnostic 16 year old daughter is growing up to be a lovely woman without any therapy. I hope yours does too.

DD doesn’t care much about fashion either. She only owns a couple pairs of shoes.

Thanks to the PPs with suggestions. What it boils down to is she needs clothes for school, doesn’t care what she wears, so I have to buy them for her. Helpful to have ideas on where to start. Because again, I haven’t had to do actual school shopping in almost two years.

Blue jeans plus layers. For my DD short sleeve or thin long sleeve tops and soft hoodies. It isn’t fashion forward, but she blends in.
Leggings would work too, but my kid doesn’t like them.
Mine is 17 a and has strong opinions about clothes— she knows what she likes, which is solids, dark and jewel colors, classic cuts, etc. but, she HATES shopping. She’s starting college next year, so I just got her started with Stitch Fix. She took the quiz, wrote the stylist a note about what she wanted, and got 2 pairs of jeans, two light long sleeve shirts and a cute cardigan that all tie together as her first fix. She kept it all except a pair of jeans that didn’t fit right.
The delivered to the door/ mom doesn’t choose the clothes/ not being dragged through the mall approach works well for her.

Go to Abercrombie, urban outfitters and h and m.
Have the sales person pick out 2 outfits in each place and be done with it.
Go to the vans store and get vans.

My son is 16 and doesn't care much. He has ADHD and is borderline Aspie, but I don't know if they come into play for clothes preferences.
