Subject: Moms if you had a little extra money
We were in a situation like this the week before school started and my DD asked for a day trip to somewhere that had ice cream and a bookstore. So we went to a state park, a playground, and a small town nearby where we’d never been. I spent $40 on books and ice cream plus gas but she acted like we’d gone to another continent. I would splurge on an adventure/experience because it would last longer than a random object.

I hope you’re kidding.
Me too because it was pretty funny.

My son would benefit from some tutoring. I really think remote learning hurt him.

Why can’t the dads spend their extra money on back-to-school splurges?

We already spoil our kids enough to cause a dcum meltdown. Any extra money gets put away in savings account.

Do something fun with them, like a day trip. Have them help pick out the activity and give them your undivided attention during it.
