The first one posted was way better. The wheels are not gaudy. The blue one with white rims looks silly. White rims look plastic. I don't hate it but a two door anything is not for me.

I'm not against the idea of a 2 door Land Rover, but this particular one does not have correct proportions. The side profile is almost comical. The front end is too long and the cabin is too far back as a result. I can't believe this design was approved and put into production.

I love the 4 door. For what it’s worth my relative has one and said it’s the best driving car he’s ever had (and he’s a car person and has had some great cars). I wish there was more room behind the 3rd row bc we still are in the sports and carpool stage

Me thinking: "OMG. I wish had that kind of cash to blow on a money pit like this. If the depreciation doesn't get you, the repairs eventually will"

Because Defenders don’t have an off-road pedigree?

This. Or get a Ford Bronco.

It remind me of truck in my toddler's Lego Duplo set.

Bronco and Wrangler are also considerations. I thought this was a unique option; just unsure if unique in a good way or not.

They do make a 4 door too, which is much longer. Our children are grown, no more soccer car pools, so we are more interested in the shorter 2 door. Both 2 and 4 door not have a lift gate, the rear swings open from the side like a door, which is somewhat unique.

They look 10x better in person.

Ugly, more so because it seems like someone chopped of the rear half of it. Had it been 4-door and bit longer, perhaps less ugly/bearable to look at.

I think it’s fine if you are a big kayaker or back country skier or mountain biker and you have a reason to need such a bulky vehicle. If I know you and I knew you did those things, I would understand your purchase. If you are driving this in the city to preschool pick up, I would question your choices.
