NP. This alone is a silly reason to stop. I was a teenager when my younger siblings were born. So what? There was no problem with that.

+1. If you already have 2 and not pushing for IVF then don't bother. But if you won't be upset by having a 3rd just let nature take its course and see what happens. Don't stress about it too much but also don't be upset if nothing happens.

IVF is not your only intervention choice. Our fertility doctor started us off with some drugs to supercharge egg production -- probably the same meds they give egg donors. Not nearly as expensive or involved as IVF.

OP response: because we have other children already, we decided not to go through the stress of IVF. Also, when we met with the RE 3 years ago, he said our odds with IVF were no different than well timed intercourse. Although, in hindsight I'm not sure that 3 years of trying without success was a better choice. We use OPK tests and BBT so our timing each month is good. It's a hard decision to stop though. The "what if" keeps coming up.

then don’t stop. accept that you are done but keep timing your intercourse. nobody is forcing you to stop are decided anything today and you are not going to do IVF anyway.

I would stop. The risk of a special needs medical child and more heart break only goes way, way up from 43.

I was no able to have any children, we decided to stop and let nature take it's course. You already have two children, I would enjoy them and save your money.

It sounds like your body is telling you to stop. You can shift into a mentality of "whatever happens, happens" but I don't think I'd actively TTC at this point. Too much risk, husband sounds done, kids are older.

I also agree with this. It is a tough decision, but you'll have a teenager in no time.. teenagers are scary

I would stop. Enjoy the life and the kids you have. Do you really want a teenager and an infant in your house at the same time?
