Good lord. I'm horrified by my gender, I thought we were better than the men.
Beat me to it. The only people I’ve heard talk about wearing fake wedding rings are men, because it attracts women. I think women only want men if they think someone else wants them. It’s insecurity.

It deters the decent guys, and does nothing to stop the advances of creeps. So you get nothing BUT creeps hitting on you, usually married ones. They’re already cheating, so they figure if they see you out somewhere in a heavily single crowd, that you’re also down for cheating too.
Now that I’m older and now solidly in the cougar column, I leave my rings off so younger guys will hit on me. Sigh… I’m gonna cry when I hit 40.
I’m 46 and get hassled as much as I did when I was half this age. I wish I could experience the invisibility everyone promised I’d suffer at 40.
A lot of men will hit on any female whose hair isn’t grey and who isn’t grossly overweight.
Yep. Also women who get hit on a lot tend think of themselves as better looking than they really are. There was a study a few years back showing that women who are 7s or 8s get hit on much, much more frequently than 10s.

Same. I’m 66 and the old guys are the worst.
