Beat me to it. The only people I’ve heard talk about wearing fake wedding rings are men, because it attracts women. I think women only want men if they think someone else wants them. It’s insecurity.
It’s so sick that are gender is attracted to abs target another woman’s husband. I have heard from many newly married relatives that since they got the ring, women hit in them so hard.

I have worn one while traveling solo. Otherwise, no. It’s no deterrent and I can handle the men who need to be deterred just fine without a ring.

Yep. Also women who get hit on a lot tend think of themselves as better looking than they really are. There was a study a few years back showing that women who are 7s or 8s get hit on much, much more frequently than 10s.
As long as we don’t miss an opportunity to put women down. That’s what’s most important here.

These PPs kind of back my theory that this is a really retrograde practice. You need to be 60+ to think that the only way to get men to leave you alone is to make them think you “belong” to another man.

One time in college, my best friend and I bought some nice fake looking wedding rings to get into a wedding expo (a ring was the only requirement to get in) because we heard from a friend working there that weekend that the swag being given away was excellent.
Does that count?
The food samples alone more than made up for the cost of the cheap rings.

LOL, this JUST happened last week.
DH (with all our kids in tow) walked up to me while I was at a hotel bar with my coworker (work trip/we brought our families) and saw for himself that several guys were hitting on us and the entre topic was our engagement rings/the size of the diamonds.
So it never occurred to me to think a ring would make any difference.

I keep one in the car for when I go out and one by my door when I have workmen in. It's come in handy for both.
