Have a minivan with two kids and it’s the best thing ever.

I have 5 kids and that necessitated a mini van purchase. You can still drive pretty much whatever you want with 2 kids.

So wasteful. Using more gas, creating more pollution, adding to traffic congestion, taking up more parking spaces.

Looked at Highlander, Ascent, Pilot, and ended up with a Pacifica Hybrid. Love it. Two kids, one big dog. Nice tv's, speakers, and gadgets in it.

It really depends… I like driving small cars and so I wouldn’t—but if you can get one that’s fuel efficient and you want one, then why not.

Yeah driving 2 cars sounds terrible IMO. Way better than driving a non cool minivan

Hate to break it to PP, but her/his cool years are limited anyways. I had kids in my mid-20s. Guess what, I'm not cool, I'm not young, and driving my cool car didn't save me from getting older.

I didn't say "I want people to think I'm cool." I said "I like cool cars." I also like cool speaker systems, televisions, gadgets, etc. They're for my own enjoyment, not other people's enjoyment. A minivan is something that I will be bored and sad driving. We live very close to everything so driving two cars is no problem.

Gross. You're trying to insinuate the suburban moms/dads are boring but really you're so freakin' cliche, i am bored by your existence.

NP, you sound like a lovely person

Huh? Have you test driven minivans? My Odyssey is loaded with gadgets. In fact, the gadgets on my parents' new Mercedes and my inlaws new Audi are more finicky and not useful compared to my awesome Odyssey

We got a Sienna with 2 kids under 5 and I absolutely love it. The sliding doors are amazing and we can fit so much in the back. Test drive some minivans and see what you think. Our other car is a Camry.

Is there any statement that could possibly be more provincial?

Don't have sour grapes just because you drive a minivan lol

Got a minivan when the kids were 5 and 7 and so glad I did! It meant we could carpool to practices, rehearsals, etc., and, bring everything we wanted or thought we needed on vacations (4 bikes, balls, coolers, etc). Not to mention how much you learn eavesdropping on your tweens and their friends in the car when carpooling.
