I would never pay a “hair professional” for than a few dollars. I cut my own hair.

Mr. Tran the barber in Bethesda, walk-ins only. I think it is still under $20 for a kids cut.

I just cut my girls hair myself. Order good scissors.

OP, you are not going to find a shampoo and blow dry/style for a discounted rate. Kids cuts are cheaper because they don’t do that.

There's a Fantastic Sam's on Rockville Pike. They've been good.

I am looking for the same. We would go to Hair Cuttery but every time you find a good person they leave. So expensive everywhere else. Crazy! Seriously considering saving money for college and sending to Cosmetology school.

How much do you think you should pay? You don’t want Hair Cuttery, but want to pay Hair Cuttery prices?

It doesn’t matter if she is a child - that’s a full service and you should pay for it. $50 is fair for that - how often are you getting her hair cut?

I just posted on another thread that I was looking for a inexpensive place to trim my hair. My husband did it yesterday, and it looks perfect. He did a dry cut.

I always trim my daughter's hair, semi-dry and standing (I wet the comb and pass it over her already thoroughly combed hair just before scissoring). I've cut my husband's and son's hair but with less success, because I need to develop more finesse with the razor. But trimming hair with scissors is easy.

Tell us your location, we can tell you which Hair Cutteries we go to.

My kids go to Danor Plaza in Vienna. They have never had a bad cut there.

Try a different Hair Cuttery. Read reviews and find a stylist you like. Good ones exist. I go there now for Mt he kids and even me. I am paying less than 1/4 the price I used to for a cut.
