These are all oddly specific details for a "hypothetical" case.
OP, go ask your neighbor. "Hi, I haven't seen your daughter around since January, is she ok?"
Or call the police, "Hi, there's this teenage girl who lives in my neighborhood, and I haven't seen her since January, please go check to make sure she hasn't been kidnapped by by a serial kidnapper/rapist!"

Like many others, I would assume it's mental health/substance abuse/eating disorder related. It was a 30 day program, but the child needed more help, so they extended.
My cousin's kid was in and out of mental health facilities for an entire year.

Based on my own kids and their friends, my first thoughts would be mental health issues or an eating disorder. Pregnancy wouldn’t be on my radar at all.

As a teacher, I’ve never had a student leave for a pregnancy unless they are not telling the truth. I’ve had many leave for months for substance abuse rehab or mental health help. When this happens I often have to coordinate with someone in the program for work. I really doubt they are hiding a pregnancy.

In HS in the late 80s an acquaintance disappeared for a very long time. She had mental health issues and addiction issues. No one assumed pregnancy. It's not 1950 any more.

First of all, it wouldn’t be 9months. That’s too obvious. Even when girls were sent away because of pregnancy, it was more like 6 months. Nobody shows in the first trimester and young girls bounce back really fast.
