This is the three stooges X 3.
They clearly have no grasp of the data or the statistics.
It doesn't even matter which side you are on for any issue, mask mandates or whatever.
They are incompetent!

1/3 of MoCo registered voters are independents, so we get no voice in the primaries. We need open primaries.
Have you considered switching your party registration so that you can have a voice in the primaries?
That’s not an acceptable solution, in my opinion.
I used to think more highly of Friedson, but then he got on the Casey Anderson/Hans Riemer developer subsidy/trickle-down economics bandwagon.
Why don't you accept that as a solution?
Friedson ran on being pro-business. What did you think that meant?

This won’t be a popular opinion in Montgomery County, but I think government should represent everyone and political parties should always seek to broaden participation, even among people who aren’t affiliated with them. This is even more important when one major party has consolidated power to the point that the other party is unable to field viable candidates or even run contested primaries. A lot of people don’t feel represented at all and are not willing to affiliate with a party.

NP here.
Easier said than done. Take a look at the broken primary system in this county. Very few Democrats even show up to vote in the county primary elections. As a result, the primaries tend to be dominated by the narrow band of the “Takoma Park mafia”
Hopefully this will change in 2022 but more people need to be registered to vote as Democrats and show up.
Maryland is a closed party state and Moco is a one party county. If you don’t register as a Democrat in time for the primary you have no voice. The primary effectively is our general election.
Then vote for better people or find someone upcounty who will win enough votes. Don’t change the rules of the game just because you’re not very good at it.

It’s a race to the bottom of the idiocy pool with this group of people. Can’t imagine them in a real world situation having to make a biz decision. Such incompetence by the MOCO Council.
Agreed. They are worse than terrible. Why the focus on cases and not on hospitalizations and deaths?
