Agree. And BP meds that you are calling "water pills" aren't benign. You are over-riding/altering your body's ability to balance your electorates and fluids by taking them. You could end up with an electrolyte imbalance and/or too low BP.
Sadly, all of that could be true. My OMAD/IF had really been working for me, and I’m usually satisfied but lately it does feel like I’m having these moments of just wanting to eat everything. That’s where the donuts came in. I’ve lost a significant amount of weight over the last 2 years (120lbs), but then gained about 25lbs back over the last 8 months and I’m feeling a frantic, overwhelmed and out of control about the weight I’ve gained back. And I had a goal weight for the concert that I didn’t make, so I am 😔 sad.
This sounds pretty dysfunctional. I'd consider talking to someone about better ways to reframe your approach to weight/health/body image.
. So it’s really a constant struggle everyday. It’s so exhausting. It takes up so much energy. At my “mature” age it’s really hard to teach an old dog new tricks about reframing body image. And going from 300+lbs down to 163lbs (my lowest) has been a real mind F$&ucK. So unfortunately it leads to dysfunctional ways of maintaining. But I’m really trying to do my best. I was telling DH after I ate the donuts how much I wanted to hurl them after. They were so not worth it. Nothing sweet, ever it seems and that’s disappointing as well. I just want to enjoy the Fu$&cking donut and move on. But instead I think about it for days after.
