Dh is up and gone by 5:30. I get up with the kids around 6/6:30 so we dont see each other.

PP, but then we both bury our faces in the paper! Not very romantic but it’s a good start.

Weekdays: DH gets up around 5 and I get up around 6 and immediately get ready so we don’t greet each other until around 6:30/45. Usually a “good morning” and “how did you sleep” and a peck or hug. FWIW we take more time to greet each other now because we have been in therapy and working on some things.

Weekends: DH gets up around 6/7 and me 8:30. Usually have the same greeting but might talk more or sit and watch a show together with our morning beverages.

If you want something more passionate OP, why don’t you consider initiating?

He’s a surgeon so he’s up by 5:30 and gone by the time I get up at 6:30. Not much of a greeting!

He leaves before I do so he makes the coffee and kisses me, the bump, and the dog goodbye while we’re still sleeping.

DH is morning person, I am night person. He is most productive from 5/6-8/9am, basically the only time he does any chores whereas I will be deep cleaning the kitchen at 11pm while he's knocked out on the couch. Whens he's up I am having my best quality sleep and vice versa.

If you're out running before he wakes, how are you expecting morning action? That comes from sleeping in together.

My DH wakes up early and goes for a walk. When he comes home he like to stomp around upstairs and wake everyone (before 7am, mind you) as though I'm lazy even though I was up until 12am working.

I ran some errands this morning and crawled back into bed with DW for about 30 min. As she woke up she scooted closer and took off her shirt, it was a nice greeting.

On day’s DS needs to be somewhere or school days I will turn off her alarm and let her sleep in. I leave a charged toy on her nightstand, she always thanks me later that day.
