Not to mention masking vaccinated people is unlikely to have a major influence on the spread, hospitalizations, or deaths. It makes me very sad. So many family and friends have bought into all of the fear mongering and act like vaccines are useless.
You "proudly go maskless"? What are you proud of/about, specifically? What message do you think you're sending, aside from "I don't use public transportation" and "I don't work in or or use medical services"?
The OP is sending the message that vaccines actually work and that another mask mandate simply punishes those that have been vaccinated. You either believe the science or you don't. Kids <12 are not included here, simply referring to those who can get vaccinated, but don't. Stop reading the fear mongering, gasping we are all going to die nonsense. Understand the math, go get the vaccine, wear a mask if you feel uncomfortable. It's not that hard.
"According to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, less than 0.004% of people who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 experienced a breakthrough case resulting in hospitalization, and less than 0.001% have died from the disease. That’s about 6,600 severe breakthrough cases out of more than 163 million fully vaccinated people."

I don't know what to say to people who feel that an indoor mask mandate is punishment.
I'm sure you don't. I don't know what to say to people who like being told to wear mask as a part of normal behavior. Read the article, understand the math and realize that masks are not the the ultimate fix to this problem. Only vaccines are. OP has it right.
Nobody thinks it's normal behavior. It may, however, be normal behavior as part of a set of mitigation strategies during a pandemic. I can't make other people get vaccinated. I can wear a mask.
You can't make other people wear a mask either.

Kids aren't vaccinated and cannot be. Are you pissed at them. We have a very high vaccination rate here so given the Delta variant we either need a different vaccine, people to change their behavior or better, both. Its not as simple as vaccinated adults as it is being pushed.
Don't know about you but all the kids I see are wearing masks. I'm talking about unvaxxed people who can get vaxxed. That's pretty obvious.
I rarely go out to stores but last time I went, a few days ago, I saw several kids not wearing masks. Most people are vaccinated. Its not enough anymore.
