Parents: European universities, the best in their country, but not well-known here.

Children: anything BUT their parents' universities! Since they will have a choice, they understand that actual academic content is not enough - there has to be a certain recognition from US grad schools and employers.

Did you guide this decision at all? I also went to a tiny 1000 student school and found it way too small, way too rural, and with way too few opportunities. I’d highly suggest my kids go somewhere at least somewhat larger. Wondering if you felt the same.
