We were in Orlando. We wore masks indoors but not outside. Our nanny is a bit uptight about covid, so I’m not sure where the line is. She doesn’t go anywhere, which I appreciate, but we have different comfort levels now that we’re vaccinated.

You took an unvaccinated child to Orlando?

Then you need to quarantine for 14 days. Nanny gets paid leave.

You’re testing someone who might have covid despite being vaccinated. So her vaccinated status doesn’t really help here. You are absolutely UNreasoable.

No, OP, you are decidedly unreasonable. You should not have asked your nanny to take your kids to be covid tested after your vacation to Florida.

I hope your nanny is looking for a new job as we speak. You were dead wrong and need to apologize.

A nanny is not a substitute for a parent. If your child is sick, one the child's parents should be taking them in for testing and care. Do not put this on your nanny.

I really hope you're trolling us, op. Your nanny has a couple of co-morbidities for covid, it's pretty natural that she's "a bit uptight". She can't be that uptight if she agreed to come to work with your sick kids after you just got back from vacation. Your selfishness is mindboggling.

NO, you are not being reasonable. You should have taken the children yourself.

Agree.

Wtf, op.

You are so entitled.

You should not be having your nanny come in when your kid might have covid. You travelled and took the risk your kid might get covid. You should be the one risking driving in a car with your kid especially since your nanny had not been around your family for at least a few days.

This is really selfish

Not only should your nanny not drive your kid, your nanny should not be at your house

She agreed to come in if we all wore masks and social distanced. Older kiddo doesn’t need a nanny, we have a 3 year old.

How can your nanny “social distance” in a car with a sick child?

Absolutely you should have taken your child to be tested yourself. No question.
