I guess the end date is when they age out of K-12 education?
My students are in HS. Both fully vaccinated. They go to schools with high student and teacher vaccination. This is just ridiculous.
It’s so funny to me that now people think the Academy of Pediatrics is ridiculous and shouldn’t be listened to. When just 1 year ago they were the gold standard and no one was allowed to voice any different opinion.
It's so funny to me that now people think the Academy of Pediatrics SHOULD be listened to. When they didn't before when they advocated for school reopening.
We all understood that AAP was acting in the best interest of children with that recommendation, but did not think that the best interest of children should trump the safety of adults in a deadly pandemic. What’s your excuse for disagreeing with them now?
Actually, I did think that the best interest, safety, well-being, and future of children should be the highest priority. This meant in person schools.
i am so not surprised to hear a parent here say they cared more about a tiny risk to teachers than their own child's well-being and future
Oh please. The kids will be fine. A dead teacher? Not so fine. I guess I’m just less selfish?

Anonymous wrote:DCPS has already stated that masks will need to be worn inside all schools in the fall. The AAP is inconsequential. I'm glad because it means IPL can go ahead.
For how long? At least for terms 1 and 2 because many kids are still not vaccinated. Not to mention some staff have not been vaccinated.

do you really think that its all the same people posting contradictory information on an anonymous board? I posted the above note and I've never before posted a statement about the AAP.
