Didn’t they just have nationals in California ?.

Literally nobody cares outside of the players families and the club.

Watched a lot of GA games since they streamed them on Youtube. Overall, really was not impressed at all of the level of play. It was pretty low to be honest and not really that impressive.

FCV U17 winning the GAL title will not benefit anyone else. Just like when McLean won a ECNL national title and VSA won a USYS national title.

However, It’s great for recruiting players from other clubs

How about just being happy for the kids who worked really hard and made sacrifices to be part of a winning team. Most people know at least one family on the local teams. Just be happy for them. If my kid decides down the road to try out for FCV, that is our decision and we will weigh the pros and cons. In the meantime, I am happy for FCV U17 team. I was also happy for the Loudoun team that won its showcase. It was not the top showcase, but so what.
