chitlins. I'm not very adventurous. And this guy at work told me they were beef noodle soup. But......it tasted as if it smelled like an outhouse. That's the only way I can describe it. Maybe they weren't made well.....but never again.

Durian is fine.

My answer is battery acid. I thought it was mayonnaise.

Crocodile soup except it wasn't disgusting it was a little chewy, otherwise delicious.

A kind of sweetbread salad, almost like a ceviche. Both cognitively and texture-wise. But we were with family and they would have been offended if we didn't try it, since it was considered a delicacy. So I guess that's intentionally, if not willingly.

Had to go to some very expensive restaurants in Tokyo many years ago. Fish eyes, still moving fish because that's considered very fresh, eel, and other awful food. Tempura was great on a positive note!

I had durian ice cream at a Vietnamese wedding, and it was fine - but perhaps they toned down the taste and smell of it to make the ice cream?

I came here to say durian ice cream, but for me it was the grossest thing I've eaten! I tried it in ice cream form because I thought it would make it better, but not the one I had - tasted like rotten onion trash...yuckkkkk.

I've also had some bugs, tripe, etc., in my travels, but those are only gross when you think about what it is, don't actually taste horrible.

Intentionally - fried whale meat. I tried it, didn’t like it very much. Also turtle soup, which was surprisingly good.
Unintentionally - green caterpillars cooked along with organic farmer’s market broccoli on my fettuccine Alfredo. Noticed about halfway through.

Tarantula, pan fried with garlic. The thing is, it wasn't gross tasting. It was just cognitively gross. You can basically eat anything pan fried with garlic, except maybe durian fruit.

Also ate silkworm larvae but eating spider is worse.

Had to google durian fruit. Here goes...Grown in many countries across tropical South East Asia, the spiky, stinky durian is an acquired taste. The fruit is loved and loathed in equal measure. Eating durian is banned in many outdoor spaces throughout Singapore and carrying it is prohibited on public transport because of its smell. The pulp of a ripe durian emits an unusually potent and very persistent smell that is reminiscent of rotten onions.

Google cats reacting to durian fruit. That's some funny sh!t right there!!!!

Sheep brains, sheep testicles, sheep tripes, frog legs, snails (cooked of course), ostrich jerky. I’m feeling sick writing this… 🤢
