My grandmother used to make a concoction from apple cider vinegar, baking soda, water, and a little sugar. I think it was probably the basis of Alka Seltzer, because it fizzed like Alka Seltzer. I looked it up on the Internet and it is an extremely popular antacid remedy from the past that actually works.

Ask doc if teaspoon of baking soda in little water is ok. Would knock it right out
