I avoid saying no to my husband because feeling rejected sucks. He avoids asking when he thinks I would rather not because who wants to have sex with someone who is just appeasing? My cousin's vows included "obey" for her but not her spouse, and it caused a stir among my relatives. We are all Christian.

I am a practicing Christian (Episcopalian) and NO. My husband and I love and respect each other and honor the bond of our marriage. A big part of that is practicing kindness towards each other. We would both see forced or coerced intimacy as cruelty.

I am a conservative complementarian Christian woman and no, this is not what I believe or do. Don’t know anyone like that.
