Disagree - Hynes said some crazy things, but schools in her district (Hunter Mill) actually got treated very well during her tenure.
Maybe the schools, but not the students and the families of the students who attended them. She did absolutely nothing.

Organizing and conducting a recall action, as expressly authorized by state law, takes time and effort. It’s anything but a passive exercise. You are the one who sits in your basement whining about people trying to make a positive change - in response to an incompetent School Board that has driven thousands of families out of FCPS entirely.

It was literally just explained above that they had the slimmest margins for election, so they required the fewest signatures. Don’t make this into a conspiracy theory when it’s not.

Tholen & Cohen are the two who take the least number of signatures of the SB members at all.
Omeish is the least of the at-large and the recall effort kept getting people outside of Springfield and Dranesville asking to sign something.

I don’t understand this answer.
For Cohen, the schoops she represents, with the exception of 2 or 3, had the highest percentages of families requesting to be in person. Most of her schools were in the 60 to 75% range for in person learning.
She ignored what her constituents overwhelmingly wanted, and pivoted hard against that, being one of the most vocal school board members against reopening. If you wqtched the school board meetings over the past year, Cohen not only voted against reopening every chance she had except for the final vote, but actively and aggressively worked against the parents in her district.
No matter her personal political leanings, her job is supposed to be non partisan and her sole role is to represent the will of her constituents, whether or not they align with her personal politics. She not only failed to represent them, she actively worked against the will expressed by the vast majority of the families in her district.
She should be recalled.
