When the calculator she was given didn't perform the way she expected why didn't she use Desmos? I'm not trying to be mean but I'm always surprised when kids don't use the resources that are provided.
I’m not sure if she didn’t realize she was allowed to use the desmos calculator or if she just freaked out when she realized the calculator wasn’t working. Math is the hardest subject for her so she already was worried about taking the test. She didn’t say anything about them mentioning they could use the desmos calculator.

Anonymous wrote:Okay, I’ll be the outlier. My 5th grader barely passed reading and science, and he’s usually gets really high scores. He did a high pass in math, but we hired a tutor for him when we saw the results of his practice math test. He has ADHD and the DL was really rough on him. It was a shock to him to score so low!!
