My kids are the same way! They prefer to sit in the back even though they are now long past 13.

Same. I’m a car seat safety fanatic so I’m not going to compromise on this, but I have so many good memories of sitting up front with my dad for school drop off in elementary.


I experience the opposite. In fact, a lot of experts recommend talking about the hard things when the kids are in the backseat because it's easier for them to open up when they're not under the pressure that comes with having eye contact.
