I also don't remember mustard at McDonald's but I didn't eat there very often either so my memories of that are even fuzzier. And maybe I ate nuggets there.

DH claims there was always mustard on a BK burger. I'm SURE there wasn't because I can't stand mustard - I would remember if it was standard to use it.
Is it a regional thing or was it only added in more recent years?
Did your kid like it?

I'm a PP in the Hudson Valley (Westchester) and there's still no mustard on the cheeseburgers.
This is funny, because I grew up in the South, and my Mom taught me that eating Mayo (vs. mustard) on hamburgers was a “Yankee thing.” I guess she was right.
Truth be told I like some mayo, though.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Speaking for Hudson Valley, NYC and Long Island at least during the 80s and 90s... No mustard on BK hamburgers; McD's varied by location, but usually not.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Never mustard. That was a gross McDonald’s thing. I was a picky kid, and I never had to say “hold the mustard” at BK. There may have been mayo and ketchup on a BK in the NY area - I would not have necessarily said “no Mayo”.
No. McDonald’s cheeseburger was burger, cheese, ketchup, 2 sad pickles and 12 cubic onion particles.
