I’m not buying cars for my teens. They can learn with my car and drive it with me until they can save up to buy one.

1963 Dodge Dart. Was last year model where seat belts not required. And a convertible. I drove it to HS. Old rust bucket you could see street below your feet as I had a board covering holes in floor.
When I drove people top down people always reached for seat belt but was none.

1989 Ford probe gt. Dd gets the 2007 Range Rover she came home from the hospital in. She's 12 now. We feel like it's a tank so we keep it running.

My first car was a 1979 Olds Cutlass Salon that I got from a cousin who got it from my grandparents.

I had a used Honda Accord. Kids are too young to drive, but will probably be something used and reliable and safe

Stick shift Opel Vectra (1991), bought it in 1999.
DS is not interested in driving, but if he is in 4 years at 18, I'll give him my Honda HR-V (2019)- slowest car around.

1971 Chevy Nova
My mom inherited it from her great aunt when she died. I was 16 and it was 1998. Awesome ride, it was kept in great condition. Really fun car to drive in high school.

I got mine in 1996 and it was my grandma's 1982 Chevrolet, then my sister's 1990 Taurus (it was a company car my parents bought at a discount). My oldest will be 16 in 2027, and will likely start off on our 2014 Odyssey.
