Nope. Mine fell out and days later I hadn't "progressed" at all. My pregnancy books say some women lose and regenerate several times. As for the PP whose doctor said come to the hospital as soon as you lose your mucus plug, I agree that you should be prepared for a major dose of Pitocin (unless you are lucky and really are one of those fast first time moms). I called my doctor and described losing my mucus plug to her and she said, "You are way too early to come to the hospital." About 2 days later, I went to the hospital (a FTM thing-- I thought I was being really patient) and it was STILL way too early.
But I was at 41 weeks and oh my goodness do I know that feeling of wanting labor to start so bad everything HAS to be a sign...
