I should also note that they're still keeping groups and staff cohorted through the week, and kids sail with the same crew every day.

Mmm, interesting ... My 12 yr old is getting his second dose tomorrow. But he is so used to wearing mask every where at this point. Sometimes, he doesn't even realize he's walking around in the house with mask after he comes back from school. I guess it's all about perspective.

I think most camps will be at the mercy of their insurance coverage on this. Kids are not vaccinated. Insurance companies no longer cover communicable disease leaving the business exposed to litigation. My money is on masks until the 3-11 year olds have the vaccine, especially if indoors.

I have indeed been outside in all weather with a mask on, as have my kids. We have successfully avoided contracting COVID this way. It is proven that masks prevent transmission. Therefore, until children are eligible for vaccination, they should be required to wear masks. It's not hard. Of course everyone would prefer not to wear one. Everyone would also prefer that there wasn't a global pandemic. Mask discomfort is a small price to pay to stay alive. So yes, my kid will wear the mask, thank you!
