Company culture rooted in the mid-90s when company was founded. Dress code requiring "panty hose" for women and "no casual cotton pants." Requirement to use coasters on desks. The same coasters as everyone else.

My first job we only got two weeks vacation per year and we had to put the days in bt December of year before.

Brilliant narcissists and bullies went unchecked. The tone at the top was that abusive behavior was ok and made you tough. Lots of whispered conversations in corners. Lots of back stabbing. Family members hired to do nothing. Brown nosing encouraged.

The company took its "rivalry" with a competitor way too seriously. To the point where it felted like a high school sports rivalry. I previously worked at a competitor and was always asked about my former coworkers (what schools they went to, their bonuses, what areas they commuted from). One person even said verbatim "aren't you glad you don't work with those c-cks-ckers at Company anymore". It was so bizarre.
