This. Controlling who she can talk to is a classic sign of abuse. You should just let your sister know that you love her, want her to be safe and that if she never needs you to come get her, you will do so with no questions asked immediately. And make sure she has access to birth control - which is another abuawra tactic to make it harder for the wife to leave.

Not listening to Tuckems C or those nut jobs is not a sign of having a narrow mind. My neighbor believes all kinds of crazy q crap including the belief that any well spoken educated woman is a witch. She doesn't get 2 seconds of my time.

My BIL is already a giant horse’s ass in his 30’s and I can only imagine what he will be like in retirement. But my sister overlooks it because she wants to keep staying home and popping out a new baby every few years.
