Actually, the first picture is fine. The second picture is not fine. It's actually an explosion hazard to fill gas cans (tanks) in the bed of a pickup because of static electricity. I don't even necessarily care that the first people are "hoarding" gas. It's just some gas cans. The second guy is truly hoarding it.

Many gas stations are instituting a limit in dollar amount of gallon amount to stop complete idiots like above. But with gas prices, regular people do not have the extra cash to hoard fuel. Regular working people just need fuel to get to work and their kids from school, etc.

That is some crazy in the photo above.

But even everyone driving around with a full tank, rather than waiting until empty to refuel, can disrupt the supply chain and can lead to gas stations with no gas. Although that should resolve quickly.

Having said that, I filled up both our cars earlier in the week.
