If the club wants your kid, it is not really 48 hours. If it turns out to be 48 hours then your kid was not going to start for that club so you have lost nothing. Just tell them you need to wait an extra few days before deciding.

Coaches offer to take your kid without a genera idea of role and what specific team? Is it a “real” academy format?

I feel like every club is surprised by the kids who leave so it's hard to make such specific offers unless your child is older. Is your child older?

They offer lots of things.
- Not having to run back on the field after water breaks in practice. Walking is fine.
- No picking up cones and balls either
- Preferred parking for your parents at home games
- Random action shot on club website
- Position of your choice
- Jersey number of your choice. Yes, we can take #10 from Billy and give to you, even though you're a keeper.

I would think the club should share the size of the roster. Not sure they will provide a list of names/players but parents are usually quick to tell you if their kids made it or not.
