Someday the Neanderthals will come around.
Because the science proves quite clearly that 5-10% of vaccinated people will STILL get covid, experience some degree of illness, and be infectious to everyone around them.
That is why masking is not going away. Ever. Period.
It has pretty much gone away where I live. But, I live nowhere near DC.

That is nothing more than a power move. Ludicrous.
+1
Stuff like that is straight up nonsense and will make people stop listening if more measured rules are put in place. DC is the most overly cautious place in the planet and even this is a bridge too far.

Biggest changes: If you live in an apartment or condo, you no longer have to wear a mask in common areas if fully vaccinated
AND - businesses may start letting in patrons and customers who are unmasked if they can provide proof of vaccination if asked. It is now up to the business to post exterior signage requiring a mask.
Carry your vax card with you and prepare to ditch the mask! Details from WTOP

Omg. I don’t mind masks indoors and thought it was a bit early to drop the indoor mandate, but the mayor and her office have been such a mess for the past year, and this is just another example of that.
