Is there a way to outsource dishes?

That’s our most dreaded household chore.

OMG no. If I were going to pick some tasks for DH to take over it wouldn't be something I can pay $30/week to outsource. Vacation planning maybe...

Um what chores fit the cost/benefit calculation for your DH?

Now THIS service I would pay top dollar for.

Actually my cleaners do do that out of the delivered bags. But it's really easy since it's in stacks of tees, underwear, pants, etc.

Laundry is the easiest thing to do: toss it in, hit a button, walk away.

What am I missing here?

It’s not like scrubbing toilets or floors.

Heck, even my 8 year old knows how to do laundry.

If you're living out of baskets of clean laundry, it's not easier to send out. If you're not, it's a lot more than that.

They sort it by item type and mostly get right what stuff is mine, my son's, my daughter's, my husband's. So that goes fast.

We have done it for 6 years. I have some pretty high end stuff. Nothing has ever EVER come back damaged. Maybe 2 items have ever gotten lost, and once an item belonging to someone else ended up in our stuff. Pretty good success rate over 6 years.

This is at the bottom of the list of chores I would consider outsourcing. In fact, it’s not even on the list.

Oh I love doing laundry. I can't imagine sending it out. I love ironing too. I watch TV while doing it. There is something very satisfying about those nest stacks of folded laundry.

I always tell my DH that when I retire I am going to work in the Costco clothes section where I can go around and refold clothes all day.

I do have weekly house cleaners. I am not down with that.
