It’s definitely better than before, but that doesn’t mean we should settle for this dysfunctional set-up either. School boards can be much better than DC’s prior incarnation, and better than what we have now.

I don’t know about you but my principal has done a great job.
And all the principals fear for their jobs if they don’t follow what DCPS Central says exactly.
Ferebee fired the Walls principal for trying to do a good job by teachers and students during COVID.
