It's super handy to know when they will arrive for getting meals ready or to make sure a schedule change is remembered (so DH DID leave to pickup Larla, I see his dot moving). I guess unlike a Tag they can turn it off, but the principle of tracking is kind of there anyways.
I mean, my DH can't remember his iCloud password, that falls to me, so I know where his phone is regardless.
