OP - definitely get the immuno work up (which totally sucks). Like you, I had several miscarriages all around the same time but did see heartbeats. That said, my doctor at SG suggested the immuno work-up because of my ethnic background. We discovered I had a clotting issue - which caused the miscarriages. Once I was on a treatment plan (and I threw in some natural vitamin D), I finally carried to term.

Are you taking Coq10? It's one of those things 'might help, doesn't hurt'. One of the takeaways I got from the It Starts With the Egg book.

It worked for me - twice. But YMMV.

Your history sounds similar to my sister's...i.e. was able to get pregnant, but kept having first trimester losses. She now has 2 kids (though also had a week 11 loss in between them). We have auto-immune issues in our family, and that's basically the only thing that could explain her losses.

What worked for her was baby aspirin and progesterone support. I think an immunology work up is a good idea, but you could also just ask a doctor if they are willing to oversee a baby aspirin protocol. Not all doctors agree with it, but that's what worked for her.

I admit that I don’t know much about any of this but since you asked about thyroid I’d make sure your levels of free t4 are in a normal range. Did they check for ANA
(Antinuclear antibodies)?

Have you talked to your RE about MTHFR? The women in my life who have experienced reoccurring MC (think 7+ MC) was due to MTHFR. Some have eventually gone on to have a successful pregnancy. Others adopted.

I'm in a similar boat to you- I've had four miscarriages in a row and all of my tests have come back normal, except for endometritis which I cleared with antibiotics before my last miscarriage. The only real difference is that I have not gone down the IVF route yet because I do get pregnant quite easily. My RE is kind of out of ideas and I don't really want the immunology rabbit hole. I've told myself that I will go to 7 miscarriages before I look into DE or surrogacy, but it only takes me 1-2 months to get pregnant, so it doesn't take as long. Just to confirm— you repeated the biopsy for endometritis to confirm it was cleared? Antibiotics aren’t 100% for curing it (60-80% cure rate depending on antibiotic used). Have you had a diagnostic hysteroscopy? Dr. McQueen (RPL specialist from UNiversity of Chicago) just did an Instagram live with the egg whisper last night. Check it out. She has done a lot of interesting research on RPL and endometritis and suggests a hysteroscopy to look for the cause of it.


Yes I did. I actually had a few threads on here in the last few months about it. It took multiple rounds of Cipro and Flagyl, but I finally got a clean biopsy in December. I'm pretty sure I know where and when I picked up antibiotic resistant bacteria in my uterus, so now that it's clear I feel decently confident (as confident as you can about anything after all of this) that it's actually gone. Currently miscarrying now, so conception has happened since the endometritis was cleared. Checking out the Instagram now, thanks.

OP here - if you don't mind me asking, when were your miscarriages? Did you see a heartbeat with any? I ask because mine have all been at pretty much the exact same point (between 5.5-6.5 weeks before we see a heartbeat with either an empty ultrasound or BO), and from what I've read pre-embryonic losses like those are typically chromosomal issues. Please don't feel like you need to answer if it's triggering.
