While snell is probably the best, they are more expensive than anyone. So a 16k system like you are looking at with snell would be about 12k with Costco installed. Plus you get 10 years parts and labor on everything, 2 year return or replace policy. Sure you get a 2000 Costco gift card and not cash but that is still usable.
If you get any reputable company they are all going to be in that 12 range without the Costco back up/customer service.
A friend given a 15k estimate by FH Fur (representing Costco - through Costco). Then got another estimate for the exact same unit half price. Others I know had the same experience. Shop around, otherwise overpaying by thousands, thinking it is Costco price - which it is not.

I got quotes from snell, crop metcalff, fh furr and AJs for 2 ton install ac.
Lowest to highest
AJs 4650
Fh furr 5200
Crop metcalff 6100
Snell 6500
With a new furnace the price went up for each by x2.5.
They all try to sell homogeneous systems at the same time so you get the most efficient system.
So a 10 year old furnace will work with a new ac but the blower may not be the best; but that may not matter for many.

Were the estimates based on the same model unit?

GAC is good but they are EXPENSIVE
Anyone used Germantown heating and Air conditioning? Confusing GAC with them as both in Germantown.
Anonymous wrote:Get atleast 5-6 quotes and ask the others to match or beat the price. They would give you BS talk like installation matters, etc but if you are replacing an older furnace then most of the installation is already done.
