Your subject line and lack of any information in your post didn’t state that you had weaned or that you were interested specifically in the return of fertility. Ask a broad question, get broad answers.
A period means return to fertility. That's what getting your period means.

People are telling you about situations where it returned before they weaned in case you were unaware how common this is.
